Now owned by Scarlet Band Bus & Coach Limited, West Cornforth, County Durham.

2005 Optare Solo B25F YJ55 YGM became the final Scarlet Band bus to leave the West Cornforth depot today, Wednesday 27th December 2023, some year and 2 months after they ceased operations! After 2 attempts to drive it away, YGM was finally towed away to its' new home, where preservation may start on it. Tow Law, County Durham, UK 27/12/2023 

YJ55 YGM 2005 Optare Solo Optare B28F New to Scarlet Band Motor Services in 2005 for use on Durham Citys' then new Park & Ride operation. One of ten such vehicles, all fitted with Cummins ISBe engines, this was one of two left in the fleet when Scarlet Band ceased operation in October 2022, although off the road for almost a year owing to a frayed gear change cable. Offered for sale, it was eventually acquired by a preservationist, originally for spares but may end up being preserved. West Cornforth, County Durham 6th January 2023. 

Seen awaiting departure at 1725hrs on Saturday 29th October 2022 to Middleton in Teesdale, County Durham, is YJ05 JWN, a 2005 Optare Solo, new to Rossendale Transport and latterly operated by Scarlet Band Bus & Coach Limited. Owing to contract changes starting on the 30th October, this was the last Scarlet Band departure on this service, as the contract was awarded to another operator. It was on this day that Scarlet Band Bus & Coach Limited ceased operations, this bus being the final bus to return to the depot at 1915hrs, bringing to an end 101 years of service by Scarlet Band. 29th October 2022 @ Galgate, Barnard Castle, County Durham. 
